The village of Castagneto Carducci

Between lanes and poetry

Castagneto Carducci

The village that inspired Giosuè Carducci, with stone lanes, views over the coast and artisan workshops.

Castagneto Carducci stands on a hill overlooking the Etruscan Coast. The village, named after the poet Giosuè Carducci, preserves a historic centre of stone lanes, small squares and artisan workshops.

From the top of the village the eye ranges from the sea to the countryside, across vineyards, olive groves and cypresses. It is one of the finest views on the coast.

In the village there are wine bars, restaurants and workshops where you can taste local produce, from olive oil to wine, from cheeses to cured meats.
