The Avenue of Cypresses at Bolgheri

Between wine and tradition

Bolgheri

The Avenue of Cypresses, the village and the great wines of the coast: Bolgheri is an unmissable stop on the Etruscan Coast.

Right at the end of the famous Avenue of Cypresses stands the small village of Bolgheri, also made known by Giosuè Carducci, who stayed here during the decade between 1838 and 1848.

The village rises from a ring of Mediterranean vegetation and is linked to Castagneto Carducci by the “Via Bolgherese”, a magnificent route known for the prized vines that have earned it the name “Wine Route”.

The majestic Castle Arch leads visitors to discover the medieval village, where the atmosphere belongs to another age: narrow streets, small squares and artisan workshops where you can discover local specialities.
